Chop’t opened in January 2001 with hopes of bringing something creative, fresh and healthy to the lunchtime scene in New York City, and eventually the rest of the country. The owners wanted to offer the very biggest and best salads and salad sandwiches, with the largest variety of ingredients and the best bang for the buck in the city. They envisioned a place where the customers would have a hand in crafting their meals and could come every day of the year without eating the same meal twice.
Every morning before opening, the kitchen bustles with activity. The owners/chefs prepare dressings and vinaigrettes from original recipes, tested on friends and families for two years until they were perfect. Daily shipments of fresh produce arrive, and then they prepare and grill the meats, roast the turkeys and make their soups from scratch.
Because Chop’t maintains the highest levels of food quality, service and cleanliness, customers can expect to leave there with a smile and a desire to return. The salads are good, but from order to delivery it typically takes an hour and a half! For a salad!

Usually really good, but very inconsistant. Today, no flatbread with my order and fewer ingredients. Some days they are great, some days, not so much.

I used to go to Chopt in Washington, DC when I lived there. Just tried this location on 51st Street and the salad ingredients are really fresh. The large salad is good sized - but I'd recommend putting at least 4-5 items in it. Great for lunch!

I ordered from them today, two chicken salads, their salad portion is not huge however, the chicken and other ingredients barely there. For over $11 its such a rip off. And, no utensils or napkins included. The roll is about the size of your index finger. I called to complain and was told, "well that's the portions they give you" I mus say great customer service. NEVER AGAIN!!

I usually loved Chopt-- that is, when I go there and get it in person. My order didn't even appear to have been chopped: whole leaves of lettuce, a full half of an avocado, etc. Worst salad I've ever gotten at Chopt. Really disappointed because I LOVE their salads when they're done right!

The e-mail said 15 - 30 min estimated delivery time. It really took an hour. And I hate when delivery guys call when they're 5 min away so you have to wait in your lobby for them to arrive with no pen to sign the receipt. This is why I don't like tipping ahead of time. No incentive for timely service.

Very good food, prepared simply and well. Portions are good and service is excellent. All at an reasonable price. Highly recommended, for health concsious individuals it's a must. Great place
